Do you feel like climbing in a fine alpine environment in a secluded place? Do you like routes with more than one length? If you have answered no even to only one of these questions, don't go to Nid des Hirondelles and make for the dam farther down the valley, instead. This is not a wall but a very indented structure where climbing offers unforgettable sensations thanks to a great exposure and to fine technical passages. Don't miss this corner of paradise.

Access
Drive to the end of Valgrisenche to the homonymous village. Drive through the tunnel and leave your car in a parking on the second bend. Take a path uphill to the rocks. Walk along the rocks to the left and in 10 minutes you will get to the base of the routes.

Climate
Exposure: SOUTH-EAST. 1800m on sea level. Summer climbing.

Rock and Equipment
Fine solid gneiss. Good equipment with spits.

Difficulty
Mostly 6a/6b
