I have often climbed in this beautiful place and on this rock without a clear idea of the difficulty of its routes. I am trying now to point out how difficult they are so that you know what you are going to do. I haven't a great experience and I want you to enjoy your climbing and to find the routes easier than you expected so you are likely to find the routes one grade easier than I indicate. They are all, anyway, rather peculiar. At the base of the two most interesting routes I fixed some small stones (I hope they are still there) where I marked the grade. I know it's nicer to climb without knowing the difficulty but that isn't always nice if you are "forced" to do it!

Access
From Verres (exit on the highway Torino-Aosta) drive up along Val d'Ayas to Extrapieraz. Turn left to Antagnod and past the village turn left to Barnasc. Leave your car in one of the two large parkings at the end of the road. Walk down along the short paved road that takes you from the parkings to the restaurant-bar "Le Solitaire". The rock is exactly on the left of the restaurant.

Place
It's a fine rock, not too big, in an alpine environment, surrounded by smaller rocks, in the green. There is a nini playgroung for children, a restaurant-bar, easy walks and uphill tracks (Monte Zerbion). Plenty of good drinking-water. Beautiful view on Val d'Ayas. It's the ideal place where to spend a pleasant afternoon on sunny days above all in summer and late spring even for those who don't feel like climbing.
Exposure: South. 2000m.on sea level.

ROCK AND EQUIPMENT
Very good granite
, di notevole ma delicata aderenza. The equipment is old but most of the routes have a lot of spits.
