On the Parete Stoppani you can choose to climb on 25m-routes or longer routes (150m). In any case you will enjoy! Very open and nice landscape around you, very nice rock, excellent equipement... this place is a must of Lecco. This site has been equipped by Delfino Formenti. Access From Lecco follow for Valsassina until the road of the "Funivia dei Piani d'Erna", which has to be taken. Follow all the road and park near the cableway station. Start the path n° 1 to the Rifugio Stoppani and get to the Rifugio. From here take a little path on the left on steep grass, getting into the woods. Go on along the path up to the visible wall. (1 hour) Climate Exposed completely South... You can climb in any period (beautiful in winter if sunny...) Rock & Equipement Compact limestone. The equipement is excellent and suggest you to try even the hardest routes. Difficulty Around 6b-6c for the long routes. Short routes offer some very interesting route near to 8a.
